Curacaona, Netherlands Antilles (AP)—Two adjournments were played off Friday night in the 1962 Candidates Chess Tournament.
Paul Benko of New York City, drew his fifth round game with Tigran Petrosian of Russia, in 67 moves.
Victor Korchnoi of Russia and Miroslav Filip of Czechoslovakia failed to reach a decision in their sixth round adjourned game and it was re-adjourned after 89 moves with Korchnoi having excellent winning chances.
Bobby Fischer of Brooklyn enjoyed his night off by attending the boxing program at Curacao's Stadium. Fischer was presented to the cheering crowd by the ring announcer.
