New York—Youthful grandmaster and former United States chess champion, Bobby Fischer of New York yesterday was conceded to be certain of first place in the World Interzonal Chess Tournament at Stockholm.
With three more rounds to go Fischer has a score of 15-4. In the 20th round yesterday he won a draw and gained a full point when Victor Korchnoi of the Soviet Union resigned their unfinished 19th round match.
Ewfim Geller of Soviet Union is in second with 13-6; and Dr. Miroslav Filip of Czechoslovakia, third with 12½ to 6½.
