Stockholm (AP)—Wolfgang Uhlmann of East Germany held his slight lead in the international chess tournament last night despite a loss to Russia's Geller.
After 10 matches, Uhlmann has seven points and a half-point lead over 18-year-old Bobby Fischer of Brooklyn, N.Y. Fischer drew with Pomar of Spain in the completion of ninth-round match. The young American's tenth round match with Gligoric of Yugoslavia was adjourned.
Fischer, after eight matches, one adjournment and one bye, actually is running ahead of the field. Uhlmann has not received his bye as yet.
The first six in the final standings will advance to a challenge tournament in Chile to determine the challenger to world champion Mikhail Botvinnik of Russia
