Willemstad, Curacao (CP)—Two Russian grandmasters, Tigran Petrosian and Ewfim Geller, drew their 17th round match in the international candidates chess tournament Monday night and remained tied for the lead.
Paul Keres of Russia, previously tied with Petrosian and Geller, adjourned his match with Russia's Victor Korchnoi and dropped back temporarily into third place although he appeared to have the strong position.
In other matches in the 28-round competition, Pal Benko of the United States drew with Mikhail Tal of Russia and Bobby Fischer of the U.S. appeared to hold the advantage in an adjourned match with Miroslav Filip of Czechoslovakia.

Geller and Petrosian 11-6, Keres 10½-5½, Korchnoi and Fischer 8-8, Benko 8-9, Tal 5½-11½, Filip 4-12.
