Inter-Zonal Play-off
Bobby Fischer, USA, winner of the Inter-Zonal tourney at Stockholm, will be joined by five other qualifiers for advancement to the Candidates tourney at Curacao, Dutch West Indies in May-June. These are Geller, Petrosian and Korchnoi, of the USSR, Dr. Filip, Czechoslovakia, and the winner of a play-off tie between Paul Benko, USA S. Gligoric, Yugoslavia and Leonid Stein, USSR.
The six will be increased to eight by the automatic admission of ex-world champion Mikhail Tal, and Paul Keres, runner-up in the Candidates tourney of the previous world series. Presumably it will again be a quadruple round-robin. The winner to become the official FIDE challenger for a match with M. Botvinnik in 1963.
