New York, March 7—Drawing with Wolfgang Uhlmann of East Germany in the twenty-third and final round of the world interzonal chess tournament in Stockholm, Bobby Fischer of New York wound up his schedule in first place with a score of 17½ to 4½, comprising 13 games won and nine drawn, said a report from the Swedish capital yesterday.
Two of the four Russians, Ewfim Geller and Tigran Petrosian, were tied at 15 to 7 for second and third place.
Fischer, Geller and Petrosian qualified for the challengers' tournament, the next step leading to the world championship. The result of adjourned games will decide the other three places.
