Stockholm (CP)-(AP)—Bobby Fischer of the United States with top spot in the world interzone chess tournament safely wrapped up, continued to widen his margin on the rest of the field during weekend play.
Fischer, a Brooklyn student, downed Mario Bertok of Czechoslovakia Sunday night. The point from this match gave him 17 points in the standings of 13 wins and eight draws.
His closest opponent, with one round left as the contestants round out their total of 22 matches, is Ewfim Geller of Russia with 14½ points.
Geller Sunday night defeated Winnipeg's Abe Yanofsky, far back in the standings with seven points. Geller's total includes 10 wins and nine draws.
