Fischer Adjourns At His 89th Move
Seven adjourned games from the eleventh and twelfth rounds were decided yesterday in the world interzonal chess tournament in Stockholm, according to a report from the Swedish capital.
Bobby Fischer of New York, 8—2, improved his chances of winning when Abe Yanofsky of Canada missed a draw in their match from the twelfth round.
After forty-seven additional moves were made, Fischer sealed his eighty-ninth move and a second adjournment was taken. The game will be played off next Monday.
