Americans Beat Israel In Chess Olympics Match
Varna, Bulgaria, September 21—In the Chess Olympics here last night, the United States team won on three boards against Israel, and the fourth game was adjourned in an even position.
Bobby Fischer, Larry Evans and Robert Byrne were the winners. Donald Byrne, adjourned his game in an even position after 41 moves of a Sicilian defense.
The Americans also won two adjourned games from the United States-Switzerland match. Edmar Mednis and Pal Benko were the winners.
