Petrosian Defeats Filip In Chess Tournament
Willemstad, Curacao, June 16—Two games from the twenty-first round, one adjourned and one postponed, were played last night at the Candidates' Chess Tournament.
In the first, Dr. Miroslav Filip of Czechoslovakia lost to Tigran Petrosian of the Soviet Union after Petrosian maneuvered his king to a strong post in a position that was otherwise even.
The game between Bobby Fischer of the United States and Paul Keres of the Soviet Union, a Ruy Lopez, going to forty-two moves, was adjourned with Keres enjoying a positional advantage.
The Tal-vs-Petrosian game from the twenty-second round remains postponed.
