With only one more round to be played in the Interzonal Tournament at Stockholm, Bobby Fischer leads the field with the amazing score of 17-4. He has clinched first place in the star-studded tourney even if he should lose his last game—which is highly unlikely.
At last the 18-year-old U.S. prodigy seems to have hit his full stride and threatens to become history's greatest player, as we predicted several years ago. We believe that he will win next year's Candidates Tourney and then go on to play and beat world champion Mikhail Botvinnik for the title.
