Fischer Increases World Chess Lead
Bobby Fischer of New York, undefeated after fourteen rounds, yesterday widened his lead in the world interzonal chess tournament in Stockholm, according to a report from the Swedish capital.
With a score of 10-2, the former United States champion in well ahead of the field. He has an adjourned game pending from the twelfth round.
Fischer conducted the black forces and set up a King's Indian defense against Miguel Cuellar of Colombia. Cuellar lost a piece and some pawns and resigned after thirty-seven moves.
