8 Other Matches Adjourned in Interzonal Tournament
Cautious play marked the second round of the interzonal chess tournament at the Kungshallen in Stockholm, according to a report from the Swedish capital yesterday. Only three of the eleven games were decided and all were drawn.
At the end of the five-hour session, Tigran Petrosian of the Soviet Union led with a score of 1½-½.
Petrosian and Leonid Stein, another Soviet grandmaster, drew after eighteen moves of a Caro-Kann defense.
